You'll be able to meet the members of Ingersoll's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee at Evergreen Coffee Lounge tomorrow.
INGERSOLL - It's a chance to get to know the members of Ingersoll's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee.
An open house will be taking place at Evergreen Coffee Lounge on Thames Street South from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. tomorrow.
Committee member Mayos Picardal says you'll be able to share your thoughts on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Community Plan.
"Inclusion really means everyone needs to be taken care of and thought of when the town is producing or developing programs. So if you want your voice to be heard, we need you!"
She adds parents don't have to worry about arranging child care.
"You can bring your kids, this is part of why we're trying to improve inclusion here because we've got people saying they can't do 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. because they have kids. If you bring your kids, I will bring mine!"
Free treats will be provided, but there will be a 30-person cap on the event.
Mayos Picardal stopped by the Heart FM studio to chat with Dan and Marcie on Monday May 27th. You can listen to the full interview below:
