INGERSOLL - The Ingersoll Vendors Market has presented Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ingersoll Tillsonburg and Area with a cheque for $220.
Every month they select a charity to fund with the money made from their penny table sales. Next month the donation will go towards the Fusion Youth Centre. Resource Development Coordinator for BBBS Heather Breckleman tells Heart FM what they will do with the money.
"This group here having donated $220 provides a child with a mentor for a month and a half, which really puts it into perspective. So $220 gives that child a month and a half with a mentor, which for some of our kids is a summer match, we do summer matches so that children are able to have a big, sometimes just for a short while, but it is amazing the impact that will have as well."
The Ingersoll Vendors Markets runs on Sundays from 10 am to 3 pm at the Ingersoll Pipe Band Hall.
