Woodstock Police arrested a 22 year old from Innerkip who they say slammed into a cruiser, trying to avoid a traffic stop.
WOODSTOCK - A 22 year old from Innerkip is facing multiple charges after slamming into a police cruiser on Tuesday afternoon.
Police say they tried to pull over the vehicle because it only had one licence plate leaving a parking lot on Blossom Park Road around 2 pm. The officer blocked the road to get the driver to pull over. According to Police, the driver disregarded the cruiser, instead slamming right into it and then onto the sidewalk and grass. The vehicle hit a stop sign before the tires started spinning in the dirt and grass. The driver and the passenger then tried to flee the area on foot.
Police eventually arrested the 22 year old driver. He was charged with dangerous operation, flight from police, not having insurance or valid plates.
