Minister Fedeli talks about some of our local companies who are stepping up in a big way to support our front line workers by switching production to make PPE's.
OXFORD COUNTY - The Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade Vic Fedeli called into Heart FM this afternoon to discuss the Ontario Together Portal.
Over 14,000 submissions have been made to the portal as the Province encourages businesses to make PPE's right her in Ontario. However more help is needed. You can find more information on the portal online here.
Minister Fedeli joined Dan and Chris on Heart FM this afternoon to discuss the following:
- Explaining why the portal was created and who should be accessing it.
- Explaining the support the Province will give to companies who are shifting production to help support the front lines.
- Minister Fedeli wanted to give a huge thank you and highlighted a number of local businesses stepping up including Toyota, Tetra-Chem in the Town of Ingersoll who have switched production to hand sanitizer and the Woodstock/Oxford Rotary Club donating groceries to local families in need.
- Why we need to manufacture PPE's in Ontario and not rely on the outside to help us right now during the pandemic.
- Minister Fedeli outlined the support the Province is offering businesses right now during the pandemic.
- Minister Fedeli also talked about what Ontario will look like and what kind of support businesses can expect when the emergency orders are lifted and life returns to normal.
