A Day of Caring is a community-wide United Way initiative that could help demonstrate the power of volunteers.
Resource Development Coordinator, Jennifer Belleth gives an example of what one of the 12 projects in store for 2018 may include.
"We bring volunteer's along to maybe repair and paint a fence that is looking worn and tattered and it helps the clients or individuals that are a part of that agency to feel worthy of that up keep and also just feel really proud going in those doors."
Belleth gives an inside scoop on who should submit and what criteria a good applicant should follow.
"We are defiantly looking for projects that do address poverty, mental health and/or addictions and supporting kids and if those projects within your organization align with that we would love to hear from you."
Anyone that is interested and believes they fit the criteria can still submit an application until Friday.
