Time is running out to vote for Woodstock's very own Anna B in the CBC Toyota Searchlight Competition.
WOODSTOCK - It's your last chance, to vote for Anna B in the CBC Toyota Searchlight Competition.
Anna Belleth or Anna B. is hoping to reach the top 10, which will be announced on Tuesday. Today is the last day to vote for her.
Anna B. is fresh off her success, winning the Big Brothers Big Sisters Big Night In talent show hosted by Greg Morton. She competed in the contest last year and cracked the top 100 as well. This year she submitted here original song "Goodbye" the same song she won the BBBS contest with.
Anna B. or Anna Belleth is a Grade 11 student from Woodstock and is extremely grateful for all the local support.
"I have the support of so many adults, mentors, friends and family helping me share my music - I am truly grateful! Through the past year, singing keeps me going and although my songwriting is something that helps me sort through my own thoughts and experiences, it is rewarding to know that people are enjoying them! Thank you to the City of Woodstock for the great sign too!"
The grand prize winners of the CBC Toyota Searchlight competition will get an Allan Slaight Juno Master Class in the fall of 2021. The class is a week in the fall and will allow the winner to be surrounded by the music industry's best, plus a trip to Canada's national music awards in 2022.
The grand prize also includes a recording residency at National Music Centre in Calgary and help in promoting your music. Runner up prizes include help in promoting your music and money for studio times.
Anna started writing music during a challenging time in elementary school and has never looked back. Right now, she needs the community support to win the contest. You can vote for Anna everyday on the CBC searchlight online here. They will narrow it down to a top 10 by Tuesday June 8.
