Aspiring photographers between the ages of 12 and 18 have until Friday, August 19th to enter the Oxford County Library's Teen Photography Contest.
OXFORD COUNTY - The deadline for the 7th Annual Teen Photography Contest is fast approaching.
The contest is open to anyone aged 12-18 with an Oxford County Library card and the deadline to submit your photos is August 19th.
The themes for this year's contest are Once Upon a Time, Beach Read, Oxford at Work, and Blast From the Past. Contestants are asked to enter one photo taken over this summer for each category. The theme can be interpreted however you like, but the Oxford County Library needs to be able to recognize the theme in your submission.
Outreach/Teen Librarian Meagan Brennan gives a great reason why all teens should take part.
"I really hope that teens will take advantage of this great program. We have lots of prizes, not just one, there's cash prizes available as well as some gift baskets, and I think it's just a really fun program that we're just so excited to see all the talent across the county."
Winners are judged by the public, and prizes have been generously donated by the Thamesford Public Library Advisory Committee & Oxford County Library.
