The kids at K2K productions will bring the Lion King to life on stage.
INNERKIP - It's one of the longest running and highest grossing Broadway hits of all time, and now it's coming to Innerkip.
The kids at K2K productions are putting on Lion King Junior. Although the musical has been adapted for kids, Artistic Director Brian Belleth says it feels exactly like the movie and stage production you may be familiar with.
"So all your favourite songs from I Just Can't Wait to Be King to The Circle of Life to Can You Feel the Love Tonight. So all the big songs are in it and the storyline is exactly the same."
Belleth acknowledges this is a very, very challenge piece of theatre, but the kids have really rose to the occasion.
"But we've really kind of pushed the envelope. There's some great dancing that Christina Cannella and Desiree Ford have put together for the show and the music is demanding."
The Lion King Junior hits the Innerkip Presbyterian Church stage on May 5 at 7:30 p.m. There will also be night shows on May 6, 11, and 12 with afternoon matinees at 3 p.m. on May 7 and 13th.
Tickets are $15 for adults or $10 for kids. They can be bought online, at the Hallmark Shop on
