Farah Foster-Manning has appeared on over 100 different shows over the past three years including spots on Suits, Murdoch Mysteries, Nurses and Paranormal Survivor.
WOODSTOCK - A local woman from Woodstock is starting to pop up all over the place on the small screen.
Farah Foster-Manning got hit with the acting bug after her and her husband appeared on the reality show Under New Management with Arlene Dickenson. Since then she has appeared on over 100 different shows including prime time hits Designated Survivor, Murdoch Mysteries and Paranormal Survivor.
Foster-Manning says she has been getting steady work for a couple of years now.
"I have been on anything from Suits to Handmaids Tale, a lot of Hallmark movies, I am so proud that Nurses came out this year, we had been working on that for over a year and also Umbrella Academy Season 2 is coming out so I am really excited to see that. So myself and my children do this, so we always have something booked and it is just phenomenal."
Foster-Manning plays a surgical nurse on the Global TV show on Nurses, which also featured another local actress Madi Langdon. Manning says unfortunately their paths didn't cross during filming.
"I didn't see her, she was a guest appearance, the show, we would tape between 12 to 16 hours per day, so people would come in and out during the taping and I obviously missed her, but I heard about her being on the show and it is just awesome."
Foster-Manning even went to the casting call in St. Thomas for the new Jason Momoa project.
"It was such a debate for me to go, because for me being an actor, I am booked regularly with my agent, so it was one of those things, where I wasn't sure if I should go and wait with everyone else but since I was already free for the day and it was in St. Thomas, I went. I got there before 9:00 a.m and I was number 238 and I believe they got well over 2,000 people who showed up that day, so it was pretty intense."
She has three roles coming up within the next 2 months on Nurses, Umbrella Academy and Zombies 2.
