Local ESL Program Starting Soon

Do you know someone who needs help with their English? A local English as a Second Language program is helping a number of people with reading, writing, grammar, listening, spelling, and speaking English. The course is designed to meet the needs of adult learners whose first language is not English, regardless of the length of time they've been in Canada. The instructor Sara McCreery helps every student reach their desired level. "They're given a benchmark, which is like their English level: anywhere between 1-8. So at 8 you could basically go off to college. Most of [the people in the program] would be somewhere between a 2 and 5," said McCreery. Anyone interested should go directly to the classroom. "Come over to Blossom Park starting September 5th. Just stop in anytime between 9am and 2:30pm and talk to me, that's the best way," she said. It's a multi-level class that's open to anyone 18 and older.
