A Woodstock man is throwing his hat into the ring of the next provincial election.
OXFORD COUNTY - The Libertarian Party of Ontario has announced their candidate for Oxford County.
Chris Swift lives in Woodstock with his wife and two kids. He is running for the Libertarians because he thinks change is needed in the way our government operates.
"Ontario has over 380,000 regulations currently. I want to see everyone; individuals and businesses alike keep the money they earn."
Swift would also like to see more private options to compete with government run entities.
Swift says change is needed in the province and his party and can do just that.
"I want people to know that at the end of the day; our philosophy and our policies will benefit everyone. We're not in the business of appealing or pandering to special interest groups or to granting favours to big corporations and unions. We don't want to see a lot of the crony monopolies that are going on in this province."
Ontarians will head to the polls on June 7th 2018.
