Norwich Residents for Love and Acceptance will present a delegation to Township Council this morning, calling for Larry Martin to resign as Norwich Mayor and Warden of Oxford County.
NORWICH TOWNSHIP - A local group is calling for Larry Martin to resign as Mayor of Norwich Township and Warden of Oxford County.
Norwich Residents for Love and Acceptance will present a delegation during today's Council meeting. The meeting location has been moved to Oxford Centre Hall in order to accommodate a larger crowd.
Martin has faced a lot of backlash lately due to his response to a delegation that was presented at the last Norwich Council meeting.
Jacob Dey presented a delegation that was about 30 minutes long and it included hateful remarks toward the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. In an interview with Heart FM, Martin said he asked Dey to finish his delegation multiple times, but he kept going. He also said it was hard to hear Dey at times.
Today's meeting will start at 9:30 a.m. and we will have a reporter on-site.
