Local artist Corey Stewart will sing on stage at Night Gala in Montreal.
MONTREAL - A familiar face will be taking the stage at the Strangers in the Night Gala in Montreal.
Cory Stewart grew up in the Woodstock, and now he's the opening act for Boy George and the Culture Club.
He is hoping to meet the music icon later tonight.
"I'm crossing my fingers! It would be amazing because he has been a real trailblazer not only in music but also in the LGBTQ community. It would be a dream to meet him!"
Stewart has three songs lined up; Seven Different Sides, Boyfriend Material and I Wouldn't Love Me Either. The intro to his set also includes a special cameo from Heart FM's Sabrina Storm.
"I have this intro that's about a minute and a half long and Sabrina actually appears in it. There's a clip of her and I think it's really cool! I'm very excited to have that as an opener for me."
Stewart will be hitting the stage at 7:30 p.m. tonight. You can live stream the performance online here.
