WOODSTOCK - Central Public School is doing a food drive for the holidays.
One student is making sure the drive is successful. Grade 6 student, Ryker is making sure all those in need will be able to benefit from the campaign. He says how he came up with his donations.
"I asked people for canned food donations, and then they donate money if they want and I go shopping for them."
He explains why he feels it is important to help those in need.
"Some people don't have enough money to get food to eat. I just want to make sure they have food to eat."
This year he was able to bring 2168 items for the food drive, which far exceeds the amounts he has brought in during past food drives.
