The charges include operation while impaired and being a G1 licence holder while driving at an unlawful hour.
BLANDFORD-BLENHEIM - The Oxford OPP have laid charges after a traffic stop in Blandford-Blenheim.
On Thursday at 5:00 a.m. police were sent to Oxford Road 29 after getting calls regarding a traffic hazard. The vehicle was located and the driver was arrested.
A 29-year-old Aylmer man has been charged with operation while impaired by alcohol, operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration of over 80, driving a motor vehicle that is not equipped with ignition interlock device, being a novice driver with a blood alcohol level over zero, being a Class G1 licence holder driving at unlawful hour, and being a Class G1 licence holder unaccompanied by qualified driver.
He was also handed a 90-day licence suspension and 7-day vehicle impoundment. He will appear in a Woodstock courtroom next month.
