Two Woodstonians are facing charges after police noticed the driver was under suspension.
WOODSTOCK - Two people are facing charges after a traffic stop in Woodstock.
Police oberved a vehicle on Wednesday at a business on Norwich Ave, and it was confirmed the driver was under suspension. The driver was arrested, and a subsequent investigation led officers to locate suspected methamphetamine, cocaine, and cash. Officers also seized two replica firearms and a concealed knife.
As a result, a 35-year-old Woodstock man is facing charges of driving while under suspension, and failure to comply with a release order. Also, a 35-year-old Woodstock woman has been charged with carrying a concealed weapon. Additionally, both individuals have also been jointly charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, one count of possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking - Methamphetamine, and one count of possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking - Cocaine.
Police seized suspected methamphetamine with an approximate street value of $1,930, suspected cocaine with an approximate street value of $230, and over $500 in cash. The male was held for a bail hearing, and the female was released with a future court date.
