Police in London, Ontario are promising zero tolerance in an effort to prevent a repeat of last year's St. Patrick's Day riot in the city's east end. A year ago, holiday revellers pelted police with bottles and torched a news vehicle, resulting in 68 arrests -- including 26 students from nearby Fanshawe College. A new city bylaw gives officers the power to break up parties on private property with permission from the police chief or senior officer on duty.
