UPDATE: A 20 year old woman is facing serious life threatening injuries after a two vehicle crash on Athlone Avenue this morning.
WOODSTOCK - A 20 year old woman is facing serious injuries after a crash on Athlone Avenue in Woodstock this morning.
Police say a minivan t-boned with a garbage truck this morning around 9 just east of Mill Street. Both occupants in the Mini Van had to extricated by the Woodstock Fire Department. The 19 year old passenger suffered non life threatening injuries while the driver was air lifted to London Health Sciences with serious life threatening injuries.
Police closed off a section of Athlone Avenue all day after the crash, blocking one entrance to the hospital. You can still get to the hospital through the main entrance on Juliana Drive.
The investigation is ongoing and it is expected that Athlone Avenue will be reopened in the
next hour.
