The town is now looking to fill the high profile positions of Director of Finance, Director of Operations, and Director of Recreation, Culture and Parks after the sudden departure of four prominent employees.
TILLSONBURG - The Town of Tillsonburg will be going through a time of transition for the next little while, as they look to rebuild their staff.
A few key staff are no longer employed by the town of Tillsonburg, including; Rick Cox, Director of Recreation, Culture and Parks; Corey Hill, Manager of Parks and Facilities; Kevin Deleebeeck, Director of Operations; and David Rushton, Director of Finance/Treasurer.
Mayor Stephen Molnar says he cannot comment on why the staff are no longer employed at this time.
"Certainly the Municipality in respecting conversations that do take place with personnel in executive closed sessions, I will be respecting that. As a whole, this community will remain engaged, transparent and will remain focused on the next chapter, on how best to facilitate the goals and corporate strategic initiatives in the coming days and months."
Molnar says they do have interim replacements in place.
"We are very comfortable in the fact that the Municipality has qualified individuals on an interim basis and that various opportunities for longer term permanent replacements are also currently and will be taking place."
Three of the people who are gone were on the Ontario sunshine list meaning they made over $100,000 a year. They were Deleebeck, Cox and Rushton.
