A mass shooting at a condo building in Vaughn claimed the lives of six people last night, including the suspected shooter.
VAUGHN - A mass shooting in Vaughn has claimed multiple lives and sent one person to hospital.
York Regional Police responded to the shooting at a condominium at around 7:20 p.m. Chief Jim MacSween says officers found five people deceased once they arrived on scene. They also found one person suffering from gunshot wounds and they were taken to hospital.
The officers engaged with the suspected male shooter and he was shot and killed during the altercation. The SIU has been called in to investigate the interaction.
No names have been released at this time and the York Regional Police Homicide Unit will be investigating the five deaths.
