The local McDonalds in Ingersoll is having a McJack day to support one of their co-workers who is battling cancer.
INGERSOLL - The McDonalds in Ingersoll is pulling out all the stops to help raises some funds for a local teenager battling cancer.
Jackson Guiler was 16 year old when he was diagnosed with bone cancer. Currently Jackson has Metastatic Osteosacroma and his left knee is the size of a football and is excruciating to walk on, requiring walkers, wheelchairs, stair lifts and ramps.
A GoFundMe page for Jackson has already raised over $7,000 and the local McDonald's where he works wants to help out too. They will be holding a McJack Day on Wednesday October 17th.
Anyone who purchases mcnuggets on that day will help support his cause:
$1 from every 4 nugget
$1 from every 6 nugget
$2 from every 10 nugget
$3 from every 20 nugget
Between the hours of 7am-11:59pm will go directly to Jack. The store also plans to start fundraising on September 17th with donation cards available to purchase for $1 minimum to post around the store to show your support. On the actual McJackDay they will have t shirts available for purchase as well as universe bracelets because #youhavetheuniverseinyourhands.
You can also support Jackson through his GoFundMe page and read more about his story online here.
