TILLSONBURG - As federal election day gets closer, candidates for Oxford County want your vote.
Today, residents will have the opportunity to ask their questions to the candidates running to become Member of Parliament for Oxford County. It is taking place at the Tillsonburg Community Centre, and is being sponsored by the Ingersoll, Tillsonburg, Norwich and Woodstock Chambers of Commerce, along with the Tillsonburg Post and Woodstock/Ingersoll Echo.
CEO of the Tillsonburg Chamber, Ashley Edwards explains how the event will work.
"It is just more like an open house/meet and greet, almost like they have booths set up with their information."
Edwards mentions how many of the candidates should be attending the event.
"Yes, we have our 5 main candidates for Oxford County coming."
This includes Conservative Arpan Khanna, Liberal David Hilderley, NDP Matthew Chambers, Independent Akshay Vardhan, and the Christian Heritage Party's Jacob Watson
The free event starts at 4:00 p.m. and will wrap up at 7:00 p.m.
