The Woodstock Knights of Columbus will be hosting a Let's Talk Men's Health event on November 5th.
WOODSTOCK - Movember is almost here, and talking men's health is always a focus.
There is going to be an event on November 5th at Holy Trinity Catholic Church hosted by the Woodstock Knights of Columbus. Member, Pierre Pinsonneault, on why this event is important.
"So, what this event is, is to try and get out there, the reason why prostate cancer, we don't really talk about it as men. Women go out there, and they do talk to each other. Men don't talk to each other; if we do talk to each other, it's about sports. That's one main reason why I wanted that."
Pinsonneault wants everyone to come out.
"It's free to public. Men and women can come. The only thing I would suggest is maybe it's not really suitable for young kids to be there."
Doctor Philippe Violette, a Urologist in Woodstock, will be the guest speaker and will be covering topics like prostate cancer, testicular cancer and more. The event will get started at 7 p.m. with a planned talk, and there will also be a question-and-answer period. If you want to listen to the full interview with Pinsonneault, you can do so below.
