The Oxford County Animal Rescue will have all of their adoptable animals at the Woodstock PetSmart this weekend as National Adoption Week wraps up.
WOODSTOCK - PetSmart's National Adoption Week is wrapping up this weekend.
Anna Holmes, the Foster Coordinator with the Oxford County Animal Rescue, says they will be at the Woodstock location Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
"In addition to the animals that we already have in the Adoption Centre, we will have all of the kittens that we have available in our foster program coming in. We're hoping to get a lot of them adopted because more are coming."
The only dog they have available for adoption will also be stopping by. Franklin is a less than 2-year-old redbone coonhound.
Holmes recommends filling out the adoption form on the Oxford County Animal Rescue website beforehand if you want to go home with your furry friend this weekend.
"Click on the 'Adopt' link and then 'Cats for Adoption' or 'Dogs for Adoption' because we do have a dog that's available too. Then you just scroll to the bottom of the page and the fill out the application for the animal that you think will be a good fit for your home."
PetSmart's National Adoption Week kicked off on Monday February 28th and it will end on Sunday March 6th.
Marsha McConnell is also hosting an online baking auction for the Oxford County Animal Rescue this weekend in memory of her son Brayden, who would have been 21 this year. The bidding will begin at 12:00 p.m. today and last for 48-hours. All baked goods must be picked up and paid for by the end of the day on Monday and you can find the auction online here.
