Today is National Transit Employee Appreciation Day. Transit Supervisor with the City of Woodstock Jeff Springsted says just like everyone else, bus drivers have had a tough year.
"Transit drivers have endured quite a bit of change in the past year and I can only commend them for that they have done."
Springsted says a simple thank you to your transit driver will go a long way today and every other day.
"One of the best ways you can recognize your transit driver is to simply give them a deep hearted thank you."
So if you are taking public transit today, make sure to give a heartfelt thank you to the person getting you to your destination safely.
