The Navy Vets will be celebrating their history by inviting all alumni to the Community Complex tonight.
WOODSTOCK - It is going to be a big night for the Woodstock Navy Vets
Not only is the organization celebrating their 50th anniversary but over the past season they have held a number of special events. President of the Woodstock Navy Vets, Devon Young, explains the two events that will be take place at the Community Complex this evening. "The biggest thing is we're getting all the alumni back into the house, hopefully the most alumni we've had back in the house since our 25th anniversary. So I am looking forward to seeing everybody out. Everybody seems to be loving the Teddy Bear Toss these days it is obviously a great cause first of all. I would love one for every person in attendance and hopefully it is a good game."
Young says this will be a really fun night for fans of the Navy Vets. "Just to be a part of a little bit of history but also a tradition of the community that really has been built over the past 50 years and just judging from the response that we have already had, it does sound like we are going to get people from the 70's, 80's, 90's and people from the past few years as well. It really is going to be interesting."
The Navy Vets are inviting all past players, executives, coaches, and volunteers to a special reception at Goff Hall at 6 p.m.
Puck drops at 7:45 p.m. for the game against Delhi at the Community Complex
And then there will be a post game party at the Navy Club.
All alumni are free - but don't forget a teddy bear for the Toss!
