Navy Vets Eliminated by Paris

The Navy Vets were beat 6-0 in Paris and were eliminated in their 1st Round playoff series in 4 games to finish their 2012-13 season. Paris scored 2 goals in the 1st minute of play and never looked back. Michael Roefs faced 42 shots in the net for the Vets. "The Navy Vets, led by veteran captain Mackenzie Langford and star goalie Michael Roefs and as many as 12 rookies on the team, should be commended for their never-say-die effort during this tough and frustrating season while proudly representing the city of Woodstock," said the clubs Communications Coordinator Jim Taylor. Paris now moves on to meet the Norwich Merchants in the West Division Semifinals. Elsewhere in Junior D playoffs: Thamesford lost to Lambeth 3-2 last night. The Trojans and Lancers are back at it tonight in Lambeth at 8pm. Tavistock takes on Ayr again in an early afternoon game at 12:30pm.
