Woodstock Navy Vets General Manager Bill Wallace is leaving the team to take over the GM role for the Guelph Hurricanes.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Navy Vets have lost a key member of their management team.
The club issued a release today saying General Manager Bill Wallace has accepted a new job with the Guelph Hurricanes of the GOJHL. Wallace will take over the General Manager Duties in Guelph effective immediately.
The Navy Vets issued a statement saying Wallace has been a very valuable member of our staff and has been paramount in the team's growth over the past few seasons. They wanted to congratulate him on his new job and thank him for all he has done for the Woodstock Navy Vets organization.
In the interim, Navy Vets' President Devon Young has been named Acting General Manager. Young says Wallace deserves a lot of credit for the current success of the team.
"Over the last number of years, there have been a lot of people who have been very important to the team and Bill has been paramount, he has been right there the whole time when it came to making big decisions and this goes back a few years. When him and Adam came in as coaches here, I think that was a huge turning point in the success of this team."
