WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Navy Vets are hoping to connect with kids tonight.
President of the Woodstock Navy Vets Devon Young says they are inviting everyone to come out and enjoy a hockey game, "Saturday night is minor hockey night. All kids participating in minor hockey whether that's Woodstock Minor Hockey or the Wild Cats will get in for free."
Young says it's important to connect with kids,
"I can remember and a lot of our guys can remember being kids and going out to see the Navy Vets play. It was a lot bigger deal than you would think. And we'd just like to keep that traditional alive and actually grow it if we can. It seemed like an easy way to spread it out and have them have a good and relatively inexpensive night out in comparison to dinner or the movies or anything like that."
Puck drops at the Community Complex at 7:45 p.m. tonight. The Navy Vets will be taking on the Ayr Centennials.
