All Woodstock Navy Vets, Norwich Merchants and Tavistock Braves games have been postponed until Friday January 28th.
OXFORD COUNTY - It looks like the Woodstock Navy Vets, the Norwich Merchants and the Tavistock Braves will be off the ice for a while.
The Ford Government announced yesterday that the province will enter a modified Step Two of the Roadmap to Reopen Plan. This means several restrictions will take effect starting tomorrow, including the closure of indoor sport and recreational fitness facilities like gyms. The province also stated that there will be exceptions for athletes training for the Olympics and Paralympics and select professional and elite amateur sport leagues.
The PJHL has postponed several games. Locally, the Woodstock Navy Vets, the Norwich Merchants and the Tavistock Braves will be off the ice until Friday January 28th.
In a post on the Woodstock Navy Vets Facebook page, the club stated that they were saddened by yesterday's announcement but they're still hopeful that they will be able to finish the season.
