The Woodstock Navy Vets have hired Peter Crosby as their new head coach.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Navy Vets will have a new bench boss this season.
Peter Crosby has signed on as the new head coach.
General Manager Robin Inscoe says he brings a lot of experience to the table.
"Peter is a proven coach. Won at the Junior B level and I think he coached one year in Paris a few years back and was Coach of the Year in this league then. He's implementing systems right from the start and we're hoping that his experience along with the player experience from a year ago gets us where we're planning to go."
Inscoe adds some familiar faces will be returning this year.
"We're going to have 13 or 14 veterans back. Looking to finish what they started a year ago, they didn't quite get the job done and they're all chomping at the bit ready to go. They want to drop the puck for real."
The home opener will take place on Friday September 14th at the Community Complex. They will be hosting the Paris Mounties. Puck drop will be at 7:45 p.m.
The game is sponsored by the Lions Club and admission is free.
