A new Deputy Warden will be selected today for Oxford County council.
OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford County council will elect a new Deputy Warden today.
The job rotates between County Councillors every year. Sandra Talbot is currently the Deputy Warden.
A county councillor will be nominated for the role at the meeting today by their peers and a new Deputy Warden will be selected. The Deputy Warden's main job is to fill in for the Warden when they are away.
The Deputy Warden position also comes with a pay increase. Starting on January 1, 2019 the Warden position will be compensated at $103,142, the Deputy Warden at $34,037, and County Councillors at $28,880.
