Brian Elliot will officially become Habitat For Humanity Heartland’s new CEO as of November 7th.
A new Chief Executive Officer will taking over Habitat for Humanity Heartland. Brian Elliot will be assuming the position as of November 7th.
Elliot says he is excited to make a difference in the community.
"Our community only gets stronger if everybody kind of pitches in and now to be CEO of Habitat, I think I can make an even bigger impact in the community."
Coming into his new position Elliot has worked as an executive director of another non profit organization and was an executive with a financial services organization.
Elliot tells Heart FM he is looking forward to becoming involved in every aspect of Habitat for Humanity.
"It's a multi-faceted business from the builds to the restores, the retail operations. It's a pretty encompassing role and obviously I'm looking forward to getting there November 7th and digging in even deeper with the team."
In a press release Habitat for Humanity Board Chair Chuck Quintyn praised Elliot and thanked their interim CEO for all of her hard work.
"Brian stood out as the clear choice to lead our engaged and exceptional staff, and work with our remarkable board of directors. The board would like to thank Linda Armstrong, past chair for stepping in as interim CEO and paving the way for this new chapter in our evolution. Linda has done a wonderful job for the organization and deserves our gratitude."
