Oxford County Council is looking to build an apartment building next to Woodingford Lodge.
WOODSTOCK - County Council has passed a bylaw to dispose of surplus land on two sides of the Woodingford Lodge.
Warden David Mayberry says they hope to turn the land into a new housing district.
"We have a policy that when we sell land, that we really want to turn those land assets into new homes for people"
Mayberry adds council is leaning towards an apartment building for the 300 Juliana Drive location, but they are also considering other options.
"Probably leaning towards an apartment building with so many units that would be for social housing. We have been looking at a couple other options around maybe smaller homes in the one area where there is not a lot of land."
Their next step is to look at the different developers and the buildings they propose.
