WOODSTOCK - Woodstock's new 'Love Downtown Woodstock' signs are now proudly on display in the Downtown Core.
The City of Woodstock, the Downtown Woodstock BIA, and Tourism Oxford started the partnership to encourage exploration of the downtown through mobile QR codes. The code will link the users to local attractions, Woodstock’s business directory, and visitor information on the Tourism Oxford Website.
Downtown Development Officer Kerry Jarvi expressed her excitement for the partnership.
“The 'Love Downtown Woodstock' signs are part of the City of Woodstock’s commitment to developing, enhancing and beautifying the downtown core. This an exciting collaboration that has brought an opportunity to provide vibrancy to the streetscape while increasing wayfinding opportunities and access to culture.”
With funding from the Government of Ontario's $70,000 Modernization Grant, Oxford hopes to expand with more interactive sign projects that engage with visitors.
