Do the Toronto Blue Jays have what it takes to win the 2025 World Series?
TORONTO - For the first time since in 32-years, the Toronto Blue Jays are heading to the World Series.
This comes after Toronto celebrated a 4-3 victory over the Seattle Mariners in Game 7 of the American League Championship series last night. The Jays were behind for most of the game, until George Springer hit a three-run home run in the seventh inning.
Toronto will now battle the Los Angeles Dodgers for the championship with Game 1 scheduled for Friday at Rogers Centre.
The Blue Jays made their last World Series appearance in 1993, the same year they won their last championship. The series against the Philadelphia Phillies went to six games, leading to an 8-6 victory for Toronto at Rogers Centre (which was known as a the SkyDome back then).
Our last News Poll asked if the Blue Jays could win the World Series this year. As of this morning, 375 people said yes, 197 people said no, and 228 people said they weren't sure.
Our latest News Poll is more specific, asking if the Blue Jays or Dodgers will win the World Series this year.
