We currently only have 1 active case of COVID-19 in Oxford County, in the Town of Tillsonburg.
OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health is reporting no new cases of COVID-19 today.
This means we currently only have 1 active case in Oxford County in the Town of Tillsonburg and 2 active cases in St. Thomas.
To date, the Health Unit has tested 5,354 people for COVID-19. We have 75 cumulative confirmed cases, 68 cases have been resolved, 4 people have died from the virus and we currently have 3 active cases. We have also have had three institutional outbreaks since the pandemic was declared. Two outbreaks were in Elgin County and they are listed as resolved and one is still active. The active outbreak is at Secord Trails Long Term Care Home in the Town of Ingersoll. Thus far 8 employees at the long term care home have tested positive for the virus. All staff and residents have been tested.
