It's one of seven locations that will close for good on September 28th, 2025.
NORWICH - Seven Beer Store locations will be closing across the province and one of them is in Oxford County.
The Beer Store on Stover Street in Norwich is on the list of locations that will close for good on September 28th, 2025. The others are in Bala, Brampton, Clinton, Morrisburg, Red Lake, Rodney, Sharbot Lake, South Porcupine, Wawa, and Wingham.
Officials say this was a difficult decision to make and its due to the changes in the retail market in Ontario. They also encouraged everyone to return their empty containers to a Beer Store location nearby.
As of January 1st, 2026, grocery stores licenced to sell alcohol will be able to accept returned empties and refund customer deposits.
