The parade will leave Emily Stowe Public School at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday
NORWICH - Santa Claus is coming to Norwich this weekend!
The Norwich Santa Claus Parade will be taking place this Saturday starting at 11:00 a.m.
Eric Kok, the President of the Norwich Firefighters Association, gives us a preview of what to expect.
"They can expect to see a number of floats, we hope to have Sparky the Fire Dog walking in the parade and we will have Santa Claus at the end of the parade. They will see our old fire truck, it's a 1938 and we will be collecting non-perishable food items for the local Salvation Army."
He says the parade should take about 30 to 45 minutes and it will follow the traditional route.
"The parade starts at Emily Stowe Public School, we will head north on Stover Street until we hit the main intersection with the lights where we will turn left onto Main Street and complete the parade at the Fire Hall."
That's where kids will be able to meet Santa while enjoying hot chocolate.
