The Norwich T'N'T Pull will be taking place tonight and tomorrow with all of the proceeds going to the Optimist Club of Norwich and District.
NORWICH - It's going to be a loud weekend in Norwich, with the return of the T'N'T Pull.
Trucks and tractors will be hitting the track at the Rettie Farm, right on the corner of Highway 59 and Evergreen Street.
Social Media and Sponsorship Coordinator Dave Nash says it's a two-day event and all of the fun kicks off tonight.
"On the Friday night starting at 6:00 p.m. we've got a number of classes of non-circuit diesel trucks, super stock 4x4, modified farm, and single-engine modified. We'll have lots of different vehicles going down the track making lots of noise."
The band Neon Rain will be hitting the stage after the pull. There will be a 19-plus beverage garden on site, and a free bus service to take people home to Norwich, Burgessville, or Otterville.
All of the fun will start up again at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow. The local farm tractors will hit the track in the morning, followed by the Big Creek Minis and more tractors on the OTTPA circuit.
Families will be able to take advantage of the kids zone Saturday afternoon. There will be three bouncy castles, face painting, and balloon animals on site from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Hen House Market will also be open from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with 40 local artisans.
Darren Hancock Band will hit the stage after the pull to provide live music for the rest of the Saturday evening.
Nash says all of the proceeds raised this weekend will be going to the Optimist Club of Norwich and District.
"We support things like the minor baseball, swimming, we supported the Norwich-Springford-Tillsonburg trail and we've done a lot of individual donations to families that have children in need. Just a whole lot of stuff."
