Residents of Norwich Township can expect to receive their ballots in the mail after September 26th.
NORWICH TOWNSHIP- The municipal election is coming up in Oxford, but one township is doing things different this year.
The Township of Norwich will be receiving votes by mail rather than traditional polling. Citizens will receive their ballots in the mail, fill them out at home, and can then return them for free through Canada Post or drop them off.
Voters can expect to receive their ballots starting on September 26th, and have until October 24th to return them. The last day recommended for mailing back ballots with Canada Post is October 13th. After that point only dropping it off directly at the municipal office will guarantee your vote is counted.
Ballots can be dropped off in person at 285767 Airport Road, Norwich during regular office hours. There is also an after hours drop off slot available all day, every day, until the cut off on election day at 8 p.m.
Residents of the township should be informed that if you do not receive your voting kit by October 5th, you should contact the Township of Norwich municipal office.
