NORFOLK COUNTY - Nobody was injured after a four year old boy was found wandering a busy highway in Norfolk County.
An alert officer found the 4 year old boy walking along the side of Highway 3 on Monday afternoon. The child had just been dropped off by a school bus, however nobody was home at his house. The boy told the officer he was walking to another relatives home when the officer located him.
He was subsequently transported home to his parent's residence where he was reunited with his mother. It was determined that a mix-up in communication had occurred and there were no further concerns for the child's safety.
There were no injuries reported and he was in good health however this is an opportunity to have all parents and caregivers speak to their children and what they should do if they find themselves in this situation. It's also an ideal time to speak to them about road safety and stranger danger.
