Open Air Burn By-Laws to be Discussed at Council

SOUTH-WEST OXFORD - Township council for South-West Oxford is meeting to discuss possible changes to the Open Air Burn By-laws.

Some of the proposed changes include lowering the permit fees, creating an online automated permit system, and removing the time-of-day burn limits. 

Agricultural/non-agricultural and special burn permits would reduce in price from $50 to $35 for a four-week period. 

Council has invited members of the public to submit their comments to township clerk Julie Middleton at clerk@swox.org or (519) 485-0477 x 7023. 

Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting on Tuesday, April 18th at 7:00 pm at the Mount Elgin Community Centre. More information can be found here.
