Free BBQ for a good cause at the United Church on College Ave - Aug. 25th.
WOODSTOCK : Operation Sharing and The Rapid Relief Team are working together to host a free barbeque at College Ave United Church.
Coordinator of Operation Sharing Eric Schmiedl explains who is encouraged to attend the free barbeque.
"Anybody with a limited income, you know, people in poverty, people who don't have a lot of money that's the thrust of the thing, to give them a free lunch."
They will be serving up free burgers, chips and water on Friday August 25th.
Schmiedl tells Heart FM that they were approached by The Rapid Relief Team about organizing the barbeque.
"They do things like this all over the world and they have chapters in Europe and elsewhere. They actually approached us and we said, 'yeah sure we'll help you guys out and help you help them'."
The free barbeque will be held between 11:30am to 12:30pm and they will be serving up free burgers, chips and water.
