BLANDFORD-BLENHEIM - Oxford OPP are thanking the public for tipping them off about a drunk driver in Blandford Blenheim Township.
Police say they were called on Thursday morning about a car driving erratically near the Oxford-Waterloo border. Officers found the car in the ditch on Blenheim Road just south of Township Road 14. The 49 year old driver was charged with impaired driving. Police say the woman was impaired by drugs.
Oxford OPP Staff Sgt. Ormsby would like to thank the concerned motorists who reported the driving behaviour. It is always the right thing to do.
"This incident and others like it, are a constant reminder to all citizens of the important role that R.I.D.E. checkpoints make each and every day, especially during the Holiday Season."
