After responding to a report about two men hitting parking signs with an alleged baseball bat on Main Street North, police say it was also reported that a woman was injured after being hit by the alleged baseball bat or a similar object.
HAGERSVILLE - Haldimand County OPP is looking for help from the public following an assault on Main Street North.
OPP and Haldimand County paramedics arrived on scene after midnight on June 6th after two men were hitting parking signs with an alleged baseball bat. It was also reported that a woman was injured after being struck by the alleged baseball bat or a similar object.
She was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. OPP learned later on the victim needed surgery due to their injuries.
The investigation is ongoing and OPP is asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident, noticed any suspicious persons or vehicles, or who may have any information regarding this incident to contact them at 1-888-310-1122.
