Woodstock welcomes back the Optimist Club after closing doors in 2013.
WOODSTOCK - The Optimist Club is making its return to the Friendly City.
After closing up in 2013 the club returns with a new look and a goal to help our youth and put funds back into the community. The Optimist Club runs various fundraiser's in and around the Friendly City to benefit local organizations, groups and people. They have a new leader as President, Paul Reis offers more information on the club and it's goal.
"What we are all about is basically to help the youth in our community. So our fundraising that we do goes right back into the community to help our youth in many different ways."
Reis also said the club will be at the Southwood Arena.
"On the red rink in Woodstock at the complex, we are asking for any non-perishable donations, if possible. Our members will be out there to answer any questions the public may have about the Optimist Club."
Visit the Southwood Arena on December, 27th to learn and see what the Optimist Club has to offer the community.
