South-West Oxford Township is purchasing a new furnace for the Beachville Museum.
BEACHVILLE - South-West Oxford Township is purchasing a new furnace for the Beachville Museum.
It's going to cost about $5,000 once it's installed in about a week or so.
Mayor David Mayberry says the previous furnace was about 20 years old and it needed a lot of repairs done.
"The fan and blower wasn't working and it was going to be about $650 to repair it and when they were looking at that they also found some repair work that needed to be done."
Mayberry says they were already planning on replacing the furnace in the next couple of years.
"Looking at it and thinking we were already about 20 percent of the way to a new furnace. Since we're going to replace it in two years anyway we might as well replace it now and have a more efficient furnace to boot."
