More than 75 people participated in A Walk in Their Shoes on Saturday.
WOODSTOCK - A Walk in Their Shoes was a big success, raising $24,020 for Hearts for Ethiopia.
More than 75 people participated in the event at Maranatha Christian Reformed Church in Woodstock on Saturday.
They got to learn more about the organization and the work it does overseas, before heading out on an outdoor walk.
The money raised is being side aside for Tesfa’s Shelter, which supports more than 80 kids in Harar, Ethiopia. It will also support the Wellness for Women program, which empowers mothers who are unable to support their children due to health challenges and poverty.
Founder Shelley Green would like to thank everyone who supported this event.
"We’re so thankful for the contributions of so many people in our community, from our volunteers and walkers to our donors and sponsors. This money will make such a difference in Ethiopia, driving life-changing results through the projects we fund."
