A new name is going to be added to the Oxford County Federation of Agriculture's Hall of Fame.
WOODSTOCK - The owner of Blythe Brae Farms is the newest addition to the Oxford County Federation of Agriculture's Hall of Fame.
Sharon Hart was honoured at Oxford County Council last night.
"I'm so pleased at Oxford County honours the people who are farmers and who are in agriculture. It's a wonderful county for agriculture and it's great to be a part of it."
Hart moved to Oxford 50 years ago and started her family business just north-west of Woodstock.
"It started out as a dairy farm and then turned into a cash crop farm. We've been growing corn, soybeans and wheat for many years. After a while it evolved into an elevator as well and a roasting business."
The Oxford County Federation of Agriculture selects a new inductee every year, based on their passion and leadership in the local industry. Administrator Laura Fraser says they were happy honour Hart.
"We're really proud and excited for Sharon that she accepted this award and we look forward to even more of her wonderful moments in the community."
